You will be stupid. You will worry your parents. You will question your own choices, your relationships, your jobs, your friends, where you live, what you studied in college, that you went to college at all… If that happens, you’re doing it right.

This is the most comforting thing I have ever read

Ralph glanced up at the girl, grinning softly.

"What’re you doin’, kid?"

Ralph rolled his eyes lightly, going to take his seat…

Once it was tucked in she turned around to sit down on the couch, the popcorn should be almost done by now, but it never hurt to get comfortable.

Ready?

"Ready." the wrecker confirmed.

And soon enough a bright light came from the television…

The teenager actually watched this movie countless times; but it was a classic. A tale that can never get old.

That voice … sounded familiar. Perhaps with a little more age, but Turbo knows it. Knows it well enough that it rattles throughout his skull like an annoying virus that he wants to crush under the sole of his sneakers. His head turns in the direction, brows-that-didn’t-quite-exist furrowed, and he stops.

…’nd what’s so funny…?

The fifteen-year-old crossed her arms together, not being at all fazed by his laughter. she’s spent so much time with a nice Turbo that she almost forgot that bratty ones existed. But, honestly, it was great to see an old face…

The only problem was that last time they interacted she was a little nine-year-old; and now a teenaged Vanellope stood in front of him.

Ralph glanced up at the girl, grinning softly.

"What’re you doin’, kid?"

It didn’t take them long to reach the viewing room.

Ralph placed his water down as soon as he reached the couch, propping his hands on his hips as he turned back to Vanellope.

"So what ‘horror movie’ did you have in mind?"

The teenager opened up her canned soda and took a tip before answering, Oh, it’s so scary ‘nd old that when ya have to go to sleep you’re gonna have nightmares of skeletons ‘nd mad scientists.

"Skeletons and mad scientists, huh?" the wrecker replied skeptically.

…We’re watchin’ The Nightmare Before Christmas! Ohhh, so spooky!

He should’ve known.

Ralph chuckled, padding over to the shelves.

"Alright. Let me see if we have that incredibly spooky movie.”

It would be a surprise if you did, I don’t think you could handle it!"

Vanellope took another sip of her drink.

He looked over the shelves for a little while…

"… Aha! Here it is."

He pulled down the movie, holding it out for the teen to take.

You certainly are a brave one.

The fifteen-year-old snatched the movie from his hands, taking it over to the DVD player…

do you ever just crave someone’s presence? like you would literally be happy just sitting next to them. it could be completely silent and it would just be magical to be there with them.
